"We won't," Catherine assured, and she intended to abide by such. In her mind, they wouldn't leave the sight of the carriage, so long as they managed to get a decent walk in before they were summoned to depart once again. Jane, however, seemed to have other plans. Being still young and still very much unaccustomed to the ways of obedience and advanced etiquette, took her own course as soon as she saw fit. It started by following a butterfly which she had seen and taken fancy to, which thus led her away from the carriage and further from safety. Catherine didn't even notice until her younger sister was out of sight, and by this time, she was already calling the name of the girl, searching around the road frantically.

bic: Unable to locate the whereabouts of her younger sister, Catherine returned to the carriage, an air of franticness about her. "Jane's gone!" she announced quickly. "She's vanished! Completely disappeared!"

bic;; Mary's eyes flashed, and her let out an annoyed groan, whereas the soldiers pulled out their weapons. "Down, boys," the lady said sharply. Robert, at her side, glanced around.

Catherine glanced around once more, shaking her head. "I should have known going out and about with her was a bad idea!"

Robert nodded graciously towards Catherine whilst Mary pursed her lips in thought. "She'd likely been nabbed by an outlaw," the noblewoman groused. "But if it's the one I have in mind, then we should be able to negotiate her release... Our purses may be lighter, though." "And who might this be, sister Mary?" Robert asked, quirking a brow. Mary grimaced. "Oliver Tallis, of course."

"Oliver Tallis...?" Catherine echoed curiously. "Who is he?"

bic;; Mary snorted. "A corrupt thief, what else?"

Catherine frowned. "Well pardon me for having no knowledge of those who roam the lands out of their own desperate need." ooc: dear floor, I haven't looked over there for awhile

Mary laughed. "Oliver has no desperate need!" she snapped, crossing her arms and glaring balefully at the ground as her skirt swished around her feet. "He's just corrupt." Robert sighed. "Oliver Tallis is the son of James Tallis, a composer in the court. He has three siblings: Richard Tallis, Kelsey Tallis, and Sarah Tallis. I'm sure you'll be meeting them when we reach court," she sneered.

"Mary you know that I would not have had any of this knowledge," Catherine snapped curtly. "Our father never told us anything, and our mother was far too taken by her own duties and training us in the ways of etiquette to alert us of those in court."
