Faren walked into the kitchen carrying a large bag of more onions. "Where do you want me to but these sis?"
"I don't care" Kay sniffed. Faren couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "I'm happy you find this so funny brother." She frowed
"Sorry, sorry. It's just that i don't see you cry much" Faren said. then broke out into laughter again.

"Yes, ma'am," both girls responded. Jane still had her chin tucked and gaze on the ground, while Catherine merely looked at the table.
ooc: Did we want to skip until their departure?

ooc: Sure.
bic: Catherine was the first to come down the stairs. She held herself with elegance and grace, the gown she was wearing in rich velvets of vibrant blues and purples, only adding to the appeal that she was trying to bring across. Her jewellery was simple yet enough, and her hair was tied up in an appropriate bun, keeping all but some loose curls off her neck. A few pearl pins accented her tresses. Jane followed close behind her, a little less confident, but just as poised as her sister. She wore a gown with boning in the bodice, and sleeves that consisted of multitudes of velvet. It was entirely a dark green in colour, with lace accenting the hem of the skirts. Her hair was kept down, despite the great length at which it grew, though curled tightly in ringlets, and kept away from her face with elegant emerald pins. She too wore a necklace, but it was a little more elaborate than her sister's. When they reached the main floor, they allowed the servants there to pass them the appropriate travel-wear; gloves for their hands and elegant hats with veils to cover their faces. Their identities would be revealed only when they arrived.

Mary watched them with disapproval. "You realize that we won't be getting there until tomorrow, yes? Tomorrow morning, to be exact - and why on earth are you wearing veils?"

"We always travel like this," Catherine told her calmly. "We've never been allowed to show our faces in public." "Or wear traveling clothes," Jane put in.

"We are not savages from the East," Mary said derisively. "We do not wear veils. The women of the Court will look with disdain upon your actions." "Ah, but the men of the Court might not mind so much," Robert Bullen commented, hanging off the side of the carriage. He had been talking lowly with their driver and some of the guards, relaying instructions in hushed tones and furtive glances.

Faren was one of the servents who was assigined to help preapre the feast in the kitchen. He didn't cook anything just carried things in and other tasks like that. His real job was to serve the food. He was shocked to find this out, but he was told that he need to prove himself as a servent if he ever wanted a woman.

"It was our mother's order, and part of our upbringing," Catherine insisted dryly. Jane simply stood at her sister's side, waiting patiently for Mary's direction.

Mary's eyes narrowed. "I do not care," she said. "You will not be wearing such ridiculous things. We are English."

"Very well." Catherine took the hat from Jane and passed them back to the servant, and then turned her attention back to Mary. "Are our clothes objectional as well?"

Mary eyed them before lifting her chin. "They're fine," she said stiffly before turning and climbing regally into the carriage. From where he had climbed onto a horse of his own, Robert chuckled.

Catherine pulled her sister along with her, climbing into the carriage as well, mimicking Mary's demeanour while doing so. Jane, on the other hand, was a little less graceful.

"Robert!" Mary said sharply, but something else lurked in her voice - a dash of uncertainty that only someone who had known her for years would have been able to pick up. Her half-brother, who had climbed onto one of the horses - a chestnut mare with a black mane - trotted at the side of the carriage, which had pulled away from the house almost as soon as the women were inside. "Robert, come inside!" Mary demanded. Robert just smiled, shaking his head.

Jane glanced at Robert curiously, and then to Mary. "What's going on...?"
