Riksha nodded. "Ok," she said, trying to believe it a little more this time.
She took a deep breath and stepped away, running her long nails through her hair as she thought.

Riksha cocked her head to the side. "I'm not sure," she admitted, looking around. "Father will either take all night, or be done soon because of the people."

Kion came over to sit beside her, pulling her against his side where she fit oh-so-perfectly. He wrapped an arm around her, sighing with content.

Riksha closed her eyes, allowing herself to relax in his arms. "I'm sorry for acting like I have," she said softly, even though she still holds her fears. Something bad is about to happen. She can feel it in her bones.
"When do you think we can be together... for real," she whispered.

Kion began rubbing her upper arm gently. He decided now was a good time to change the subject. "The fleets are heading out soon. I have to head up one of the ships; I'm Admiral, after all. But...perhaps I can convince your father that it would be a good opportunity for you to learn about our mercenaries...you know?"
