"Go get some sleep. I hear we're in for a storm tomorrow. Turbulent waters." Merrina smirked. She loved high sea storms. "I've got watch so we can...'talk' more tomorrow. I'll make sure to keep Amelia away from you. After all, she has an amounting attraction for you, Alerick." The dark haired woman laughed a little as she started for the stern.
ooc: Woman to add to the sisterhood? Maybe an extra helms person? Or an extra watch? Sword fighter?

"Who can resist a hero?" Alerick responded with a wink of his own before humming and ambling over to the rigging.
ooc;; Hm... Okay. Name ideas?

ooc: Telilan, Corinai, Misten, Fylis, Aerin, Laila, Ariten, Parin, Kellis, um....
bic: Merrina exhaled, shaking her head before pulling her braid over her shoulder. "Me, apparently," she muttered quietly to herself, closing her eyes to clear her traitorous thoughts before quickening her pace.
-next morning-
Thunder rumbled on the horizon, lightning illuminating the still darkened sky. The sun was just coming up in the east, though hardly added a light source to the abyss above. Blake sighed as she was relieved by Evaren, the brunette moving down the stairs, and turning to start for the Crew's Quarters with a tint of exhaustion glazed over her irises. Rebelling was a tiresome feat, and she hoped she'd finally manage to sleep this dawn. Ever since Jack had died, her sleeps had been restless and fitful, nothing having given her a cure for her lack of rest. Perhaps that was another reason why Foriden had given her the cabin, or treated her like she were royalty. No matter now, though, for all she cared about was curling up in a hammock and sleeping for the rest of her life.

ooc;; Ooh! Twins! Fylis and Aerin! I love it! Arigato, Emily! So Blake gave Ashley her cabin, right?
bic;; Alerick laughed, a bright sound that travelled down the deck as he peered out of the spyglass and over the ocean. Beside him, Mathieu looked up irritably, a pile of ropes at his feet as he tied and untied knots into them at the right intervals. "What, Al?" Alerick lowered the 'glass, winking at his brother. "Gulls, Mattie! Means we're close to... some form of land." "It's probably just a small island, Al." "Oh, sure, but it's still kind of awesome."

ooc: No problem! And yep, she did. After all, the piano's in there.
bic: Merrina watched Alerick work as she bit into an apple, sighing heavily as exhaustion tugged at her body. She didn't want to go to sleep; not yet. Alerick looked way too damn good up there, doing what he did best. "Merri." The dark haired woman turned to see Amelia approach. "Morning." "And to you," Amelia replied, her voice light with amusement. Merrina raised an eyebrow. "Why are you so happy?" "Well, you know. Everyone needs to relieve a little tension every now and then. I happened to do so last night." Merrina rolled her eyes. "Who'd you use this time?" "Ashton." "Of course you did." "Funny, though. He couldn't stop calling me Selviana." Merrina snorted. "That's ridiculous." Amelia nodded with agreement, before scanning their surroundings. "So, when're you going to have your go at it?" "At what?" "The release, Merri." Merrina shrugged. "When I feel like it, I suppose." "And that will be...?" "When I find a willing partner." Amelia smirked. "What about Sivatul? He's attractive, aye?" "He's practically my brother. No thanks." "Konar?" "Too obsessed with his monkey." "Nuri?" "No fucking way." Amelia frowned. "You're being difficult." "Am not." "Yes, you are." Merrina shrugged, tossing her apple core overboard. "Don't you have work to do?" Amelia exhaled dramatically before waving her companion off, starting for whatever it was she was supposed to do. When she was gone Merrina returned her attention to watching Alerick.

Mathieu sighed and put down the ropes. "Al, you're over-excited again." "So?" Alerick responded, reaching over to ruffle his brother's hair with a grin. He placed the spyglass at his side, wishing he had a hat. All heroes had hats, did they not?
"Hello, Amelia!" The voice belong to Aerin, who was all blonde curls and light smiles as she moved over to the girl. Her twin, Fylis, was behind her, tucking her black hair behind her ear almost self-consciously. "Fyl and I have been discussing something, you know."

Amelia glanced over at the women, raising an eyebrow. "And what would that be?"
Merrina pushed off the wall, shaking her head a little as she began to grumble about men and being insensitive, ignorant jerks, before slipping below deck to get some rest herself. Here was hoping LaBeau was nowhere below; he had been trying to woo her for the last little while now, and it was getting annoying.

"Just about how different you and Merrina are," Aerin said, flicking some hair behind her shoulder. "You know, there are a ton of men on this ship! Most ships don't have women on board!" It was hardly surprising that Aerin was kept aboard the ship more for her large bust size than her actual skills (which, in the pirate department, were rare), and her twin knew it. At first glance, Fylis appeared to be smaller than her sister, which was true, but not height-wise, as everyone would think until seeing them stand next to each other. But that was where the similarities ended - height. Fylis had a small chest (fashionable among nobles in England, where she and Aerin had been born, but fashionable wasn't synonymous with 'desirable', at least in this case), a thin waist, and long black hair, which was the only thing about herself that she took much pride it. She also had tanned skin, which came from being out in the sun too long. She was also surprisingly good at sword-fighting, which came as a brutal surprise to many, for as soon as she pulled out her cutlass blades, it was game over. Still, she was meek (annoyingly so to Aerin, sometimes), and provided a cool edge to her sister's rather promiscuous behaviours.

"Yes, I know," Amelia replied, pushing her hair over her shoulder. "I don't understand Merrina's line of thinking sometimes. You know, she's had a think for Alerick since he arrived?" The blonde woman smirked.

"Oi fey! That long? He and his brother are hardly the newest addition to our crew!" Aerin said indignantly. "Not that anyone remembers... umm... what'shisname half the time - Alerick overshadows him big time." Fylis toyed with a decorative ring on her finger. "Mathieu's nice." "Ah, whatever, Fyl. You'd go for the quiet types. Or would, if you went for anyone at all. Jesus. Some women... Take advantage of the fact that some of these men work shirtless, would you?" Fylis sighed. Aerin would never believe her if she told...
Waking up in an unfamiliar place was like a cold bucket of water being poured over his head. Of course he knew where he was - he had always scoffed when people in his novels woke up and couldn't remember where they were, because that was just stupid. That wasn't to say it wasn't... disconcerting or unsettling, of course. Ashley sighed, removing his hand from his forehead before standing, his legs still shaky from the rolling of the ship. He was grateful for the bed, though - he knew pirates often slept in hammocks, and that prisoners or people... such as himself often slept in the brig, against their will.
Alerick squinted into the distance. "Say, Mattie..." "Here they are." Alerick took the glasses from his brother and set them on his face with a wide grin. "These things are so awesome." "You don't really need them, Alerick." "They make me look cool! Just because you're sore about not being able to see without yours..." Mathieu glared at him. Alerick just sent him a smile, making Mathieu smile unwillingly back. "Come on, Al - let's head down. We'll burn." "Maybe you will." But the American pirate had already hurled himself over the side of the Crow's Nest and had landed soundly in the rigging, laughing as he pulled Mathieu over with him.

ooc: Is Fylis gay...? o.O
bic: Amelia nodded, adjusting a lifeboat pulley. "She stares at him whenever off duty, especially now that their shifts are separated by dawn and dusk."
Blake sat upright in a flash, breathing hard with sweat rolling down her neck. It was another nightmare, the events from the day the Pride sunk, replaying over and over again in her mind. She couldn't shake them, and every time, it hurt just a little more as the bitterness of reality sunk into her mind. How could she have been so careless? If she wasn't so busy trying to seduce Jack, perhaps then she would've heard the lookout yelling to them that the ship was upon the rocks, had sprung a leak, and was taking on water. So many of her comrades died that day, and Jack, being the traditional pirate, even fought her to let him stay. The brunette ran a hand over a scar that began at her collarbone, and moved down toward the valley of her breasts, though her hand remained over her shirt. It still ached at times, reminding her of the bittersweet memories, and every time they brought tears to her eyes. She struggled to fight them, almost never succeeding, and would often relocate herself to the hull of the ship before allowing the emotions to release. But this time...she just couldn't move. She sat there, panting heavily, body riddled with exhaustion and pain. The crew's quarters was empty save for a couple of pirates who were sleeping or just heading out, and so she let the silence engulf her. (i'm such a mean person x3)
Charlie examined the stern of the ship, looking over the wood and making note of necessary repairs. Perhaps they would dock at a town soon, some large port perhaps, where they could pick up supplies. And maybe, just maybe, he would come up with a solution to the problem that was his sister.

"Pft! Lame!" Aerin declared. "It's not like Alerick isn't a man like the rest of them, eh what? After all, 'e's who convinced Fyl here to join! Ain't that right, Fylly dear?" Fylis nodded. "Please don't call me that, Aerin," she said then. "It makes me sound like a pony or a horse." Aerin smirked. "When you get a man, it will be appropriate. What's what old saying? Save a horse, ride a filly?" She laughed uproariously as Fylis blushed. "Believe it or not, Mel, dear, Fylis here lost her maidenhood before I did!" "I...! You said you'd never tell anyone that!" "Oh, pish, we're all friends here, are we not? Maybe you should go speak to Merri, Fyl - you know Alerick and Mathieu better than most, do you not?"
Ashley reached over to the small night-table, grabbing his glasses and sliding them onto his face where they rested on the bridge of his nose, as per usual. He then stood up, clutching his white shirt while biting his lip. Clothing would be an issue... A knock at his door made the former aristocrat look up, but when he heard Mathieu's quiet and hesitant voice from the other side, he relaxed. "I brought you a change of clothes," Mathieu said. "You're about my height..." Ashley opened the door a crack. "Thank you, Mathieu," he said, and Mathieu nodded before turning and vanishing down the corridor, presumably to wake the rest of the crew.
Somewhere in the crew area, Sören fell out of his bunk. "What the hell...!" He started as he rubbed his head, glaring banefully at his bunk, which had mercilessly tossed him out when the ship hit a rough wave that made the hull rock.

Amelia raised an eyebrow as a mischievous grin graced her features. "Oh, that's interesting! Tell me the story!" She was always one for gossip.
Blake glanced over her newly acquired hammock at where Sören fell, her tired eyes taking a few minutes to focus. "Are you alright?" she inquired, accent a tad heavier than it had been before.
Tenaiya was first to exit the Captain's Quarters, observing the deck thoughtfully while Foriden came up behind her. It was no secret they shared his cabin, most of the crew half expecting them to pop out a child one of these days. But, they had been together unofficially for a long time, and still no sign of an unborn babe had been sighted. "Breakfast?" Tenaiya asked her companion, who simply nodded as she went to knock on Ashley's door. Foriden watched her go a moment before slipping below deck, coming across the Crew's Quarters without delay. He eyed the heap that was Sören before shifting his stoic gaze to Blake. "Comfortable?" Blake glanced at him, her expression fading to one of melancholy, but she nodded all the same. "I'm fine down here." "You're welcome to return at any time, Blake." Blake glared. "I told you, I'm fine. Stop treating me like I'm better than everyone!" Foriden said nothing, though simply narrowed his eyes as he turned and returned to the deck. Blake watched him go furiously before returning her attention to Sören to make sure he hadn't died or anything.
