A key. Ariana looked around and under the mat, and found the extra key. She unlocked the door and burst through, grabbing the home phone. "Bonjour? Oh, uhh, I mean, hello?" She asked, looking around and not seeing Rhyne.
Kris looked down at the phone and his heart stopped. It should the picture of the girl that he saw at the game that day. The girl who caught his eye and looked at him in a way he was never looked at before. The girl he tried to reach, but she was whisked away before he could get to her.

Emily screwed up her face a little. "I need to talk to Rhyne. She won't pick up her fucking cell phone. Can you please pass it over to her? This is DEADLY important. Like, life on the line important...okay, not really, but she'll be happy we bugged her!"

Ariana's eyes widened. "I don't know where she is..." she looked around.
Kris still felt his stomach churning, but then he heard that familiar, shy, soft voice that he knew too well. "Gimme the phone!" He practically shrieked, pulling it from the tall girl's hands.

Emily frowned. "You owe me a new one if you break it, Versteeg. And don't think I won't get you to get me one. I have my ways, you know!" She removed herself from the hockey player then, offering him a hand up.

Kris gave the girl a look before grabbing her hand, his back protesting at every movement now. "Not like I can't afford it," he mumbled before standing and focusing on the phone. "Ariana Cachet Letang, what the hell are you doing and where the hell are you?" Ari, back in Chicago, blinked in confusion. "Kris?" She asked, not believing it. "Yes, now please explain to me what is going on!" Kris said, beginning to really freak out. "These two girls pretty much attack me saying that some girl really wants to meet me and then the tall one jumps on me so I can't go on my merry own business and then the small one shows me a pic of that girl that I told you and Nik about and now you're on the phone of this tall girl and I have no idea what was going on!" Ari couldn't get a word in during his whole speech.

Emily rolled her eyes. "Said tall girl has a name. It's Emily...or Rogue, whichever you like best. Laya'll know who it is."

Kris looked at this Emily like she was crazy. "Somebody explain something!" Ari went off on Kris in French, which just made the blonde blink since he didn't understand. "Shut up, Versteeg," Ari said confidently. Nik really did have an affect on that girl. "Send me the picture of the girl." Kris did so, using the younger girl's phone since he knew Ari's number by heart. Ari's breath caught when she received it. "Oh, my God." "What?!" Kris exclaimed, getting looks from some of the people at the store. "I should have known..." "DAMN IT! JUST TELL ME ARIANA!"

Emily threw her head back and groaned with annoyance. "Tell the woman to hurry up already. I'm getting old."

"I heard that," Ari mumbled. Kris was getting extremely agitated. "Look, Kris, that girl that Nik tried to tell you about, the one that's your biggest fan here who's been sulking ever since you left. Well, she's the one you told us about. We didn't find the connection since there's plenty of girls with wavy, brown hair and brown eyes and a pale complexion. She has also locked herself up in her room and she won't answer me." Kris couldn't breathe. The girl he's been dreaming of has been with Hjalm and Ari the whole time. His blue eyes looked at the tall girl, eyes wide and confused.

"Tell her to tell Laya I'm bringing you to her, a'ight?" Emily told him curtly, bored of this nonsense.

"I heard her," Ari said and hung up. Kris stared at the dead phone and looked between the phone, and the phone's owner. His mind was whirling. She was so close.... He could almost picture holding her in his arms. Oh, Lord. He was losing his mind. Or dreaming. He was positive he was dreaming.
Ari knocked on the door. "Rhyne?" She asked softly, not getting an answer.

"Well, come on then," Emily told him, snatching her phone quite abruptly before starting for the exit, her empty basket forgotten.

Kris followed in a daze, not really comprehending what was happening. The aches in his back were completely forgotten and then he walked up to Emily, grabbing her shoulder. "Why are you doing this?" He asked softly. "Why come all the way here just to find me when you had no idea that I was thinking of some girl?"

"Who said I came here for you? I'm doing this for her." Emily smirked then, pushing his hand off her shoulder. "Now hurry up, or I'll leave you here and tell her you died in a freak earthquake."

Kris glared as he followed her. He wasn't sure if he liked her or not, but right now, he just wanted to meet the girl he hasn't stopped thinking about.
Ari resorted to begging. "Rhyne, please open the door. Please." The girl on the other side of the door didn't answer. She just started at the wall that held a picture of Kris hoisting the Cup. Ari didn't want to tell her that he was coming. She was afraid of what Rhyne would do. So she would wait.
