Day One: The Recount July 12, 2010 6:30PM NST [/center] Mission Log: I Laya is upset. This is not good. It is time to discover why! Mission Log: II It was actually a bit more difficult than originally thought to discover why. Mainly because of the tears. The Blackhawks forfeited their best player, Kris Versteeg. We would like to murder whoever dared made Laya cry make Laya feel better, but how...? Mission Log: III A simple comment "Let's Kris-nap him!" turned wildly out of proportion. This will be immensely fun~ But we still need to get the ninja costumes.

Alze crouched down at the base of a tree, contemplating for only a split second how to scale it. She scrambled more than climbed up to the first branch, just barely grasping it. For several moments, she hung suspended in mid-air, swinging just so. Finally, the petite girl pulled herself up. She huffed as her stomach collided rather gracelessly onto the branch, but continued to shimmy along it. Why was she climbing up a tree? Well, for one, she didn't feel like taking the door. For two, she was fairly certain Yami, her "long lost mind reading stalker twin" (and fellow slash fan) was so far engrossed in a bit of yaoi, that she wouldn't hear the doorbell. Then again, she could be wrong. But she still didn't feel like using the front door. After settling herself comfortably on the branch, Alze stretched for the window, attempting to knock on it. She fell short. Pathetically short. She let her arm drop, sitting emotionless for a moment, before attempting again. Still fell short. The poor four foot, nine and a fourth inch tall girl mentally screamed at the unfairness of being short. She then promptly pulled out her cell phone, dialed three, and hoped Yami picked up.

A very deliberate bang! was heard from inside the house as Shinigami (Srima and Yami) slammed down on the keys to her piano (effectively cutting off the rest of her piece, the Fullmetal Alchemist Bratja), scowling as the jarring buzz became too persistent to ignore. Pushing back on the piano bench and vowing to disconnect the phone the next time she decided to play, Shinigami produced an iPod-shaped item from her pocket, with white earphones wrapped around the worn and beaten pink leather cover that encased the device. When she shoved the earphones into her ears and tapped the screen, it became obvious that the device was an iPhone. "What?!" Shinigami's voice was irritable as she barked into the phone, beginning to pace around the granite island in the center of her kitchen.

Alze internally sighed in relief at Yami's voice, however annoyed she likely was at being called. "Open your window. Upstairs: to the hallway. I can't reach that far." She announced. Logic failed her in the fact that if she couldn't reach the window to open it, then she likely wouldn't be able to reach the window to climb through it. Then again, she might just try jumping. In which case... Do not look down.

Rogue, who was oh-so-conveniently walking down the street at the time, eyed the crazy Alze strangely. What was she doing? She casually walked over to where the shorter girl stood, towering over her, as she was 5'11". "What are you doing? Why not use the front door?" She pointed in the direction, as if Alze didn't know it existed.

Shinigami stopped, sighing as she continued to pace around the island, occasionally veering off to wander around the column-guarded dining room. "Alze, you know I live in a giant bungalow; my room's in the basement," the brown-haired girl said patiently, growling as she tried twirling a piece of hair around her finger, only to have it fall short. Oh, right. She had cut at least ten centimeters off her hair. Fuck. "And there's a door leading from the patio to the kitchen--just take the winding black stairs to get up it. Backyard, by the pool gate," Shinigami instructed.

Alze pouted at Yami's words. So she climbed a freaking tree for nothing? The small girl huffed. "I'd hoped you'd somehow magically moved to the second floor." Smoothly, she flipped upside-down, hanging onto the branch by her legs, and somersaulted to the ground. There, she dusted herself off, turned to Rogue, and indicated for the taller girl to follow her. "If I'm not there in five minutes, expect me to be dead." Alze informed the phone. She eyed the stairs as she climbed them, seemingly accusing them of taking the fun out of tree climbing. At the top, she glanced down to the pool briefly - she still didn't know how to swim - and then skipped over to to the patio door. "Is it locked?"

Shinigami opened the door (which had a glass window in it), followed quickly by the screen door. There was a huge window at the back of the first floor, which allowed her to see the patio and her backyard. Those looking in would be able to see a gold-colored grand piano, two leather chairs facing them, and right in front of the window was a desk with a couch on the other side. In the middle was a wood-and-glass table. Really, the first floor was more like one big open room: upon stepping in through the front door, one would seen an old wooden desk, right in front of the stairs that led to the floor below. To the right would be the column-guarded dining room, with the antique cabinets and table. Also to the right, on the same wall as the front door, was a small coatroom and a laundry room. To the left was a sitting room, which one could see into from the outside through the window, which contained two red-leather rockers, a TV, a Wii, a PS3, and a weird... thing that Shinigami's three dogs (well, only two of them, really) liked to perch on. This room was more angled. Also to the left was a short hallway that led to a closed door--the guest room. If you stepped into the area where the guest room was and instead turned right, there was another room. To the right and up was the kitchen, where Shinigami was currently standing with an unimpressed look on her face. "No, it's not locked, and hurry up and come in! It's liable to rain soon, with how the weather's been lately."

Rogue followed, not knowing what else to do. "Rain? I like rain."
