 Welcome, all, to Symmetrical Demise - a roleplaying haven dedicated to setting up and creating roleplays that the members want.
As you may have noticed from exploring, if not from the above statement, we have no specific theme. We are not strictly Harry Potter, nor are we strictly Star Wars or Pirates. Instead, we are a mix and mesh of all different types of roleplay, from the ancient Egyptians to a modern-day cruise. We strive to produce and uphold fairness and equality for all members, with no one topic being more important than the other, and no members being left without something to do.
Symmetrical Demise was founded in the summer of 2010 by Alzella Elza Rainaco (Alze) and Yamira Srima Cheyenne (Yami - and yes, those are nicknames mashed into a single identity, and let me assure you that I haveb't even used half of them). Irritated by the roleplaying restrictions on Neopets, Yami and Alze decided to create their own site with no restrictions; a place where roleplayers could wield the English language without fear of being suspended or frozen for using words like "slash", "crap" or any of the the other harmless words TNT decided to censor. At first, it was strictly for members and former members of two guilds: Medieval Kingdom and ~~Warriors~~, and thus consisted of those two things. However, as time went on, Yami and another trusted member, Emily, decided they wanted to do more than just that. And so, slowly, other topics of interest began to appear, and thus the roleplaying multi-Kingdom of SD came to be.
Being a more calm, laid-back site, SD doesn't have many (if any) restrictions: that means no required post lengths, no real censors (because really, we expect you to be responsible enough to know what's acceptable and what is not - there are minors on here), and no admins or mods breathing down your neck 24/7. Really, we're just about having fun and relaxing ^^
