Most of the students are asleep, Charon knows as he walks through the Slytherin halls, absently trailing thin hands across the chipped walls of the dungeons as he does so. It is Saturday, so why not? Why would they want to be up, walking through stony, ancient corridors, when they could be warm and soft and so, so, so safe? Of course, it was entirely possible that they were not safe at all, but even then, they had the delusion that they were, did they not? Pausing, Charon Lavyx frowns, shaking his head lightly. He figures that seventh-year Kendall is awake, sitting in a reclusive part of the castle as she scrambles to finish the work she neglected to do earlier - an uncommon occurrence. Also known to him is the whereabouts of sixth-year Gryffindor Robin Arseno, who is more likely than not still curled comfortably under his red covers - the colour of which Charon despises so, though he would never tell the other that. He's almost happy to be alone right now. He's one-on-one with his thoughts, and there's no Robin to chase away the tinge of bitterness that usually accompanies this; Charon thinks this is good. He can't rely on the cheery Gryffindor forever. And it scares him how much he already does.

“This way,” Charlotte tugged her brother right so that they meandered through the more comfortable Slytherin halls. More comfortable, I say because Charlotte preferred them and Derek was too sleep-fogged to think anything of it. “Why were you perched high?” Derek muttered, a suspicious look slow to draw upon his features. “No reason~” Charlotte hummed with an innocuous grin. She missed a beat and realized her mistake. Quick to recover, Charlotte offered a plausible excuse. “~in particular. Just seeing if Silvia could copy the habits of an owl.”

He could hear voices up ahead, now - could positively identify two separate people, male and female. He did not recognize their voices - why were they in the Slytherin part of the castle? Hands clenched as Charon stilled his walking, pausing to leaning up against one of the walls, his hands travelling up the stone almost like a caress. Only once have Kendall and Robin ever come into this part of Hogwarts, and that was only to drag him out - pull him out after a full moon gone wrong, where Felix had returned bloody and bruised and beaten and scarred. He had blamed himself for it. Illogically, bitterly... The same old pattern, even now.

“Of course,” Derek droned. “All crows are owls.” He appeared more awake now, his cerulean orbs sharpening. Abruptly, he halted Charlotte’s light footed pace by pulling on the collar of her uniform. Charlotte turned fierce hazel gold orbs onto her sibling, attempting to shred him apart visibly for nearly choking her into a stop only to find his disconcerted gaze directed ahead. Slowly, she turned to sweep the general vicinity. “I see nothing,” she whispered lowly. “I hear something,” Derek responded, just a tad louder than her whisper. Milliseconds’ later, he realized he didn’t recognize the hallway. Annoyed, Derek turned on his sister, “Why are we in the Slytherin halls?” “I’m hungry.” Charlotte answered simply. “And I hate Gryffindor’s winding network.” “It’s not winding. It makes more sense than these dungeons.” “Lies, you sprout~” Charlotte waved flippantly. “Now come on. Just a few more turns and we’re there.” Derek grumped unhappily. “I don’t lie, Kitten.” Charlotte’s shoulders tensed at the nickname. Her pace remained unhindered, her movements solid. But in the next moment, both siblings had drawn their wands and leveled them at one another’s throat. A wicked grin engulfed Charlotte’s features. “Testy today, brother. I dare say, you exhibit systems of a period.” “I’m hungry, I’ve a headache, and you tried to hex me this morning—didn’t you?” “Me?” Charlotte blinked innocently, “Never~! I only aimed…” She indicated Derek’s vocal box. Derek groaned, lowering his wand just slightly. “Not that stupid spell again? Voices, really?”

Charon turned the corner then, dark eyes zeroing in on the two Gryffindors. "Most Prefects would take points away immediately after spotting their house rivals within their corridors," he spoke, his tone weighed; his words chosen with care. "Unless you want to twenty points for trespassing, as well as another fifteen for the hostile aiming of wands, I suggest you start talking."

OOC: Charlotte is in Slytherin, remember?
BIC: “I invited him,” Charlotte shrugged, her wand still pointed idly at her brother. “We’re not hostile.” Derek added mildly, “This is a daily occurrence.” His posture remained relaxed whilst his wand remained poised at his fellow blonde-headed sibling. “But I still want his voice.” “For a stupid crow?” Derek drawled. “She’s not stupid. I’ll have you know she aced her OWLs.” “You’re kidding, right?” “Completely.” “Utterly?” “Indeed.” “Glad to hear a spec of sanity remains up there.” The entire time, neither sibling moved to sheath their wand.

ooc;; Blargh blargh blargh, sorry. I did/do know that, I'm just a little spacey.
bic;; Charon resisted the urge to rub his temples in exasperation, as he often did when Robin pulled a particularly stupid and/or imbecilic childish stunt. "Be that as it may, you are disturbing the other students, and I doubt they will be as accommodating. I have already received complaints from Rosell Dunisque." Of course, that wasn't anything big, and he knew they knew it as well as he did; Rosell complained about absolutely everything. Really, he was more annoyed with the fact that they had disturbed his thoughts, more or less.

Kristen was walking back to the Ravenclaw common room when she saw her cousin, Ryder who's house is slytherin. "Hey" Kristen said enthusiasticly, "hi" Ryder said while putting no effort into staring a conversation. She shoved Ryder lightly and laughed, "stop" he mumbled. "Cheer up" she said, "fineee" he said. They continued down the hallway.
