Charlie clenched his teeth. "Blake doesn't normally become violent when she's this upset. The form of comfort she needs, I cannot give. And so she generally prefers to just be...left alone...although that slap to the face wasn't necessary."

"Oh, I'm not saying she would. It might be good for her, but..." Ashley shrugged. "And no, it most certainly was not." The aristocrat shook his head, exhaling lightly. "Pray tell, what kind of comfort does she need that you cannot provide?"

"The kind her Intended could have given her," Charlie replied with a sigh. Even though the entire idea of Blake and Jack together infuriated him, he had been good friends with the man. After a great deal of time, he realized that they were actually good for each other. "I assume Foriden was the last person I know of who could give it to her. But he had selfish reasoning behind it all, from what I've heard from Tenaiya and then the Captain himself."

"Ah, I see," Ashley said after a few moments. "I don't know what to tell you from here. Lionel used to tell me I was bad at giving advice, and that I should just stick to playing my anger out."

"It's alright. I appreciate the concern." Charlie sighed, shaking his head. "We just have to let her...deal with it herself now." And with that said, he proceeded on his watch while Blake continued to sit there, on the deck, unmoving.

Ashley just nodded. The strange woman who had confronted him in the hallways seemed to have vanished, so the aristocrat turned, hoping to return to the galley and heat up some water for his tea. However, when he felt someone grab his shoulder and whirl him around, he knew that it would have to wait. Wincing internally, as the person's grip was quite hard, he stared at the person before frowning. "Mathieu...?" The person suddenly looked amused. "That's a change. No, I'm Alerick, Mathieu's brother."

"Alerick, you can't just abandon your post!" snapped one of the other crew.

Alerick rolled his eyes. "Jesus Christ, just give me a minute, okay? Besides, I sent the kid up to cover for me while I'm got." He turned back to glare at Ashley, who was feeling slightly nervous at this point. "Hey man, look, I don't know what messed up games you're playing with everyone here, but you rich people are all he same, and it can't be good, so I want to warn you before it goes any further." "... Excuse me?" Ashley said, sounding baffled. "Al!" A stern voice said, and Alerick let go of Ashley's arm. Mathieu was glaring at him, his arms crossed disapprovingly.

ooc: I'm so confused :/
bic: After awhile, Blake stood, arms wrapped around herself so as not to expose anything explicit. Her shirt was soaked through, displaying bits of skin, leaving little to the imagination. She quietly started walking, where, she didn't know. But before she got too far, she found herself stopped by a tall man with navy hair. Foriden stood over her, watching her through his expressionless eyes. Blake scowled. "Leave me alone." "It means nothing." Blake shook her head vigorously, whirling around to start for another part of the ship. Foriden was in front of her once more. "Blake." "Leave. Me. Alone!" At the sound of her voice, Charlie bolted. The scene he came across then was not what he was expecting, but he wouldn't let it happen either. With a growl, he leapt over the railing, pushing Foriden away from his sister, and enclosing her in his arms protectively. "You really are a bastard!" Foriden didn't seem put out in the least, and simply returned to his cabin. Charlie didn't know what he was playing at, but whatever it was gave them every reason to get out of there sooner.

ooc;; Alerick's a paranoid bastard; just ignore him.
bic;; Ashley didn't know the man's surname, and though he felt it highly inappropriate to address someone by their first name without permission, he could think of no other means of getting the man's attention. "Charlie. Don't take her down to the crew's quarters."

ooc: Okay ^^
bic: Charlie glanced at him, furrowing his brow. "And where am I supposed to take her, then? Hm?" Blake just clutched to her elder brother, appearing fragile as a small child.

ooc;; ^^
bic;; "She gave me her cabin, so I will give it back. It has a lock and solitary key, does it not? And room enough so that you can stay in there with her, should the Captain have made an extra copy of the key," Ashley replied swiftly, not missing a beat or pausing. "Please accept it - she was kind to me when I first arrived, and it's the least I can do."

"No!" Blake said quickly, shaking her head. "It's okay. I'll be fine down there!" Charlie looked at her worriedly. "Are you sure? He's offering you a place to take refuge in." Blake nodded vigorously, pushing hair out of her face. "Yes, I'm sure." Charlie looked to Ashley with a sigh. "I appreciate the offer, but you need it more than we do."

Perla had heard arguments happening about. Perla, being the nosy little run she is, stumbled over to watch it all go done.

"I'm not as helpless as everyone thinks I am," Ashley said bitterly. "Not being in a proper bed for one night isn't going to kill me - I'm not going to wake up minus an arm! If you leave her down in the crew's quarters, I'm afraid of what the Captain could do. Among a crew, loyalties can be divided between each other and the Captain." The nobleman sighed. "Please. I'm so tired of feeling absolutely useless. Just for one night, at least. It will at least give you some privacy from the others, should you require it."
