Seth walked out of the throne room, running his hand through his hair in a sign of unconscious irritation - irritation that increased tenfold when he saw Kemosiri leaning against one of the large marble pillars, the ever-present smirk on his face. No one who looked at Kemosiri could say he wasn't pretty. They could say he wasn't rugged or "handsome" in the way men should be, but he was as beautiful as men could come, from his soft dark hair (that was his own at not a wig) to his cunning pale green eyes, as well as the slightly tale tinge of his skin - a gift from his mother, one of the beautiful Mitanni princesses. He possessed a lean form, graceful, slender and lithe, and he walked in a way that suggested he was naturally unaware of the effect it had on others. He was such a magnificent liar when he wanted to be. "Kemosiri," Seth greeted stiffly, his dark brown eyes narrowing. The title of brother implied a closeness that he and his half-sibling did not share. "It is nice to see you up again after you last bought." Kemosiri uncrossed his arms, eyes half-lidded as he released a low chuckle from his throat, body moving in fluid, rehearsed patterns. "And you, dear brother," he responded, his tone conveying a small trace of amusement. A smirk, then. "Taking our dear sister out for a ride?"
ooc;; I love this guy. I love him. nerrr

Isaria followed Seth out of the throne room, keeping a small distance behind him. When he stopped, his attention attracted by another who made his presence known, she glanced up to see who it was, finding it to be their half-brother Kemosiri. Isaria bit her tongue to keep from speaking out, figuring it to be rude to speak for her brother.
ooc; Tee hee, I like him already. ;D XD

"Of course," Seth replied, his tone flat and formal. "It is what has been requested of me by Pharaoh. I will carry it out to the best of my abilities." Kemosiri chuckled again, eyes fluttering. "Of course, dear brother; there is no one our father trusts more with our darling sister's life, and rightfully so." His voice was sickeningly sweet by this point, his eyes glimmering as the half-smirk tugged stubbornly at the sides of his mouth. "You are, after all, the crown prince. What would we do if we could not trust our own god? Apep would smile upon us that day indeed." Seth repressed a shudder, shaking his head to clear the words his half-brother had spoken, trying to rid his memory of the way Kemosiri's voice had nearly caressed the name of Ra's enemy, the snake god. "If Apep were to smile upon anyone, Kemosiri, I highly doubt it would be fortunate." "No," Kemosiri replied simply, rolling his shoulders in a shrug. "But I am making you late," he purred then, raising one hand as if bidding them a fond farewell. The gold glimmered on his wrists for a moment before he dropped them, inclining his head. "Horus' protection, brother," he said. "Does father know it is the desert you will be going to?" He directed that question to both of them, the smugness creeping back into his eyes.

Isaria shivered at the mention of Apep, shrinking further behind Seth as if to hide. There was something off about the way Kemosiri spoke, but she attempted to ignore it. She glanced back at him, her eyes widening slightly, at his question.
"It is merely a short ride," she told him, wondering if he thought her up to mischief. "I do not plan to go very far."

Kemosiri nodded solemnly. "Of course." He offered a small smile then, something that did not reach his eyes. "May the god that is your namesake protect you from his element, Seth," was all he said before pushing away from the column and walking calmly away, his steps never faltering or breaking, keeping their cat-like grace. Was it any wonder he had been nicknamed Emu or Mau - "cat"?

Isaria watched him go, her head tilting slightly. There were many times she didn't understand her half-brother, and this was one of them. There seemed to be a hidden meaning to his words, but she chose to ignore it.
"Shall we be on our way then?" Isaria said quietly to her elder brother.

"Of course," Seth said, his tone sharper than he had meant it to be. Nearby, a slave girl glanced over, before hurriedly ducking her head and racing away, not wanting to anger anyone. "Where were you looking to ride?" he asked as they started moving again.

"I was hoping a little ways into the desert, not very far," Isaria answered, following behind her brother again as he started moving. "Today seems so lovely in terms of weather, I thought it would be nice just to get outside for a little while." She quieted down a little when she realized she had started to ramble.

Seth suppressed a small smile. "And you think father would let us out there?" he asked after a moment, dark brown eyes inquiring as he turned towards her, the dark mood Kemosiri had put him in dissipating, as it always did around his full-blood sister.

Isaria smiled, her own brown eyes sparkling as she looked up at him. "I doubt Father will mind, so long as we take care not to wander too far into the desert." She clasped her hands behind her back as she finished speaking.

Seth smiled again, running a hand through his hair. "That would be perfect," he said then. "Let's go to the stables - we'll have to order the slaves not to speak of our destination, should they somehow find out!"

Isaria fought the urge to clap her hands and squee happily. "Okay," she agreed, unable to stop her smile from getting wider. She looked forward to this time with her brother as well as being able to get outside where she normally couldn't go, at least not on her own. Still grinning, she spoke again, "If we take care not to say where we are headed, the slaves shouldn't be a problem."

"Indeed. Sometimes they're ordered by father to inquire, though, so it's always good to check." He stepped into the courtyard, the kohl outlining his eyes protecting him from the harsh sunlight. He noticed a slave scrubbing at the marble and lifted an eyebrow.

"Of course," Isaria agreed, knowing her brother was right. Their father had plenty of ways to check up on them when he couldn't be around to do so himself. She stopped when Seth did, her gaze falling to the slave that had caught his attention, her head tilting again.
