Miele watched him haplessly before turning and lying on her bed, huffing at the ceiling. "Pathetic." "Go away, Kyp!" The Sith merely smirked and complied, bowing his head before vanishing into the shadows, malice gleaming in his now-amber eyes.

Dakana continued to remain where she was, meditating silently. Her breathing was slow and deep, her eyes closed with her head still bowed slightly.
After several hours she thought about leaving, but didn't feel like it. She sat there for a bit longer, forcing her mind to be still and thoughtless. Did Wesser hate her for going with Malak? She knew everyone despised him, which led to them despising her, even though she didn't have a choice in the matter. She would have stayed with Wesser if it had been her choice.
She frowned slightly and got up. She wanted answers, now. She turned on her heel and headed back towards the academy, hoping Wesser wasn't asleep.

It seemed that, as the days and years went by, the Marauder found himself sleeping less and less. It would start as an idle thing, never keeping him up more than two days in a row, before he found himself grappling with an almost weekly and permanent case of insomnia. Of course, when he really needed it, he could use the Force to calm his mind into sleep, but more often than not he found himself willingly staying awake - if only to keep the dreams away. It was tough enough knowing that what had happened had been partially his fault. Somewhere in the depths of his mind, he knew, he knew he was responsible for Revan and Malak's fall to the dark side itself. If the Force hadn't been stripped away from him, he likely would have followed them. As it was, he was a hole in the Force - an "echo where all life dies." A raw, gaping wound that wouldn't be healed until his death, even though he had fought to regain his connection so many years ago. But it wasn't the same. He couldn't pick a side - couldn't choose between light and dark, because he felt it from so far away. The Force bonds - they remained the same. He still formed them quickly (faster than should be possible), and they were still strong enough that, when one person was injured or died... But it didn't matter now, did it?
