Yeah it's expensive.
In my case, it would be about $1200 or so for the materials to build the Mew (hawk house), around $1000, $1500 for the bird itself, plus the cost of all the licenses and things, and then all the other equipment on top of that.

Yeah, it is. If you go cheap, it's about $3200 I believe.
Remember though, this is all Canadian pricing. It's probably cheaper in the states.

Damn. My parents had to pay $4000 for hockey for my little brothers.

Yeah it's tough to say. I really want to do it though. I've been wanting to get involved with birds of prey for as long as I can remember. (it's kind of embarrassing, but when I was younger, I made everyone believe that a hawk circling above the house was my pet named Foofoo...we would stand outside calling for it for hours...I even convinced myself eventually  ) |

You should do it some day  I believe that you will be able to do it. xD!! Don't worry... I used to believe that my dog was a horse and I'd try to ride him until I got too big. It helped that he was a huge dog. I also believed that a poster of a hockey player that was on my wall was my boyfriend... I would kiss it before I went to bed >.> |
