Rainear gave Bumblefoot a pleading look. "He's going to kill himself. I don't know why he doesn't want to be in camp anymore. Maybe because Tigerpaw killed the hawk he was after?"

"Its more then that, trust me." He said, shaking his head. "Go and get yourself something to eat, Rainear. Its... a tom problem." He said, and trotted after the young apprentice. "Nightpaw!" He called out, the deputy side of him taking over. "Get back here, and that is an order." He said, looking around for the black cat. "You're not in trouble," He said, in a softer voice. "Just please Come and talk with me." He said.

Rainear nodded as she ducked back into camp.
Nightpaw continued walking, though he would've been easily overtaken, as his gait was hindered by the limp from both his left legs.

Bumblefoot found him easily, and picked him up carefully by the scruff of his neck. "Back to camp," He said through his teeth. "I'd like to have a word with you."

Mellowsong smiled at him, as she left the kits to Heavenpath. "Take care of them?" Heavenpath nodded. Mellowsong padded out of the den, the wind puffing up her coat. No, she wasn't wonderful, she was terrible.

"Put me down!" Nightpaw demanded, struggling fiercely in the elder cat's grip. "I can walk! Don't take me into camp like this! Let me stay out here! I need to catch something big! That hawk had been mine but Tigerpaw took it instead! Put me down!"

Bic: Nighttune wondered where she was going , but did not argue. He kept his kits warm and watched her walk away worriedly.

Bumblefoot only kept his grip, or maybe tightened it. He walked straight to his den (The Deputy gets a private one, right? Or was it only the leader?) and dropped the apprentice. "Look, Nightpaw, I really do think I would like you as My Deputy, if I become leader . but right now, you're acting worse then a kittypet. A good leader doesn't try to out do the others. He only supports his own as best he can. What did I tell you about training. You shouldn't focus on it ALL THE TIME!" he said, his voice raising with every word, to the point where he was on the verge of becoming mad.

I know you don't see it now, but please, There will be great costs for you if you focus only on training. I did it, and almost missed my chance with Maplefrost. Do you want that? Only power and no one to tell secrets tO? To give life to your kits? to be around with all the time? Don't you want a queen?" He asked.

He left an apprentice with his kits. "Yes?" he asked worriedly.

"You train like you are, Then you'll never know when to stop. Then, you shall never have time for anyone but yourself. Nightpaw, I hate to do this, but you leave me no choice. You /will/ stay in this camp. You'll do favors that your mentor tells you, and any errands I may need. Every time you are out of camp without special orders, you will spend a full day doing things for the Elders, and then you will be an apprentice time will get 7 more moon rises added on to it. Do you understand?"
