Leaf-Fall was clawing it's way across the land, covering everything with the stench of death. Everything but the creatures who lived here would pass away until the spring thaw came and renewed the land. Until then, the cats of ValleyClan would battle against the struggle to survive the winter.

Mellowsong nosed Thornfur's fur. "Father, wake up." Thornfur opened a grassy green eye at his daughter, "NUUU~ Stormstar is gonna kill me.." Mellowsong purred softly at her father's words. Yellowleaf snickered at his little corner. "What is so funny, hmm brother?" Yellowleaf grinned at Thornfur before beginning to talk, "He ate the last of the fresh kill.." Mellowsong glared at Thornfur. "Then yes, she will slaughter you.." With a purr and a flick of her tail, Mellowsong was off to take care of her kits. Yellowleaf passed by Thornfur, a slight smirk on his face. "You are so dead.." Thornfur snarled at his son, "I should have told Stormstar to let you die.." Yellowleaf glared at him. "I'm telling mother! MOM!" Thornfur slapped himself with his furry paw. "Damn, when can I keep my mouth shut?"
