Cenhelm swore loudly. "Damn. Matthews, get over here," he growled as he wrenched the door open, pistol aimed at the strange man's head. "There was a battle overhead, yes?" He demanded. "Did we lose fairly? Or did my fucker of a cousin surrender in less than five minutes?" Matthews' low but shaky chuckle rang from the other room, and there was a sound of something clicking shut. "Cenhelm," the young doctor-slash-navigator said quickly, he demeanour changing from the lighthearted mood of before to one of almost... submission, of sorts, only somehow darker. "Cenhelm, I need my charts." "Grab them then! I'm watching this... person, here," Cenhelm said vehemently, before frowning. There was a shuffling of paper and a muffled curse from the other room. "I can't carry everything, Cenhelm." "Yeah, well, try. Because in case you haven't heard, we surrendered without a fight again."
Hinrik was sweating buckets by this point. "N-No, sir! I sent him and my first mate below before you... boarded, sir," he enthused fearfully. "My doctor's name is Frey Matthews!" He added in for good measure. "White hair. You can't miss him!" He lifted his arms as if to shield himself from Leif.

Leif quirked a brow at the frightened idiot. And here Chloelia thought this man was a nobleman. Oh, the horror of not having his wonderful pirate hat! “Excellent. You will be glad to know you shall now join the rest of your crew on the port side of Queen Mary.” Leif surveyed the ship quickly. It was good, sturdy, strong. It would hold in harsh weather and last fairly long. Leif sauntered over to the bow, swinging up to stand on the railing and steady himself with a rope. Glancing at the side, Leif concluded Queen Mary could easily be scratched out or painted over. The ship was perfect. Leif returned to the disgruntled ex-crew of Queen Mary. “You will be happy to know that effective now, you have been given safe passage aboard the Nameless Vessel,” Leif paused, tasting the name… No. Not perfect enough. “To return home. You will be fed and your wounds treated. You will not be harmed. In return, you will oblige and not fight. The first to fight shall be the first to sink, understood?” Leif narrowed his sharp autumn brown orbs on the crew. His own crew divided themselves up automatically, some guarding Queen Mary’s crewmates, others securing the ship, keeping it from flying off, others returning back to their own ship, so on and so forth. Two followed Ellsworth’s earlier path into the cabin.
“Yes, depends on your definition of ‘fairly,’ and no. He took six minutes,” Ellsworth responded, letting his sword hang loosely in his hand. He kept a careful sea blue-green eye on the pistol. “If I were you,” Ellsworth intoned slowly, carefully moving his sword to point the pistol away at an angle, “I would not be so quick to point and shoot. Lives are worth more than one would think.” Ellsworth did not entirely mean his own life. His eyes never missing a thing, a single change in body language, Ellsworth added lightly, “But my definition of ‘fight’ must be outdated. Tell me, does the new definition include a vicious tussle in which one or more participates are left wounded, mortally or otherwise?”

Hinrik let out a howl of rage. "But it's my ship!" He argued, pushing someone aside. "What authority have you, scum?"
"Yeah," Cenhelm sneered. "You're smart... for a pirate," he jeered. "Perhaps we should test out your definition?" His finger had tightened on the trigger when a hand suddenly wrapped around the barrel of his weapon, gently lowering it. "No, Cenhelm; we lost, and we're paying the prince." Matthews straightened himself up, his eyes turning to focus on Ellsworth. "Like hell we're paying it," Cenhelm snapped, but he lowered his weapon before turning to his companion, who was laden with his medicine kit and charts. Cenhelm growled and snatched one of the charts. "Why the hell do you have so much stuff? I though I was the Dagur!" "You are. I'm just more useful than you." "Asshole." Matthews smiled, but his eyes were cold as he addressed Ellsworth. "Parley."

Leif pointed a violin bow at the throat of the annoying Captain. One moment he’s frightened, the next angry. Can’t the bipolar guy make up his mind? “More authority than you, I assure you. And if you are not convinced,” Leif whipped his bow around, snagging the captain inside, and tightening just barely so that his neck threatened to be strangled. “There is always the option of physically removing that which holds issue with my… authority.” Leif lightly applied pressure to the bow. “Any other arguments or disagreements?” He asked a light cheerful tone to his voice.
OOC: Reading this over, I've decided there are a ridiculously and frightening amount of grammar/spelling errors on my part. ;P

Ellsworth tensed at the threat, and relaxed when it passed. He kept calm as the two bickered, watching passively, partially amused but hiding it well, and thinking of Leif’s own annoying personality. When the doctor finally addressed him, Ellsworth straightened, mock-bowing and holding his arm out for him to lead the way. “To the Captain, then.” He answered, clipped and distantly nonchalant. He could handle unfriendly with unfriendly. Simple matter of being as calm and polite as humanly possible. Ellsworth made certain to keep a firm grip on the handle of his sword, despite how loosely he held it.

ooc;; Same. But I'm too lazy to fix them.
bic;; "No, sir, none!" The Captain looked close to crying this time, and annoyed murmurs broke out among the nervous and most likely embarrassed crew. Really, even defeat was preferable to their Captain acting like a complete, shameless tool.

Matthews gave him a withering glare, and Cenhelm almost cheered. It was often for someone else to be the subject of Matthews' Look. Usually it was poor Cenhelm himself who had to suffer through it. Still, he plastered a small grin on his face and grabbed Matthews' arm himself, almost dragging his white-haired friend out the cabin door and onto the open deck of the ship. Matthews lifted a hand to shield his eyes from the sun's harsh glare as cerulean orbs adjusted to the light, and he almost sagged against the doorway. It was like the Queen Mary had bee forced to her knees. The once proud merchant ship was certainly not holding its head up now. Even the sails seemed deflated.
The crew parted as their captain joined them, the distaste and revulsion open and obvious as they glared at their once-commander.

“Good,” Leif piped cheerfully, releasing the crying baboon. “Now join your crew like a good little less than scum.” He ordered, all too brightly, using the violin bow to steer the Captain away, at the same time keeping him at a distance as though he were some horrendous disease; contagious and all. Leif’s own crew made sure to keep in their chuckles at the sight. It was better not to laugh at the people that would be keeping them company: it would only make them quick to retaliate again.

Ellsworth followed languidly, ignoring the glare and not missing the other man’s joy that he received it. Must be hard to make Mr. Doctor mad. Ah, well. He’d just have to make sure not to get injured anytime soon. Not that hard to do, considered he was hemophobic.
Leif grinned brightly as Ellsworth appeared with the obvious Doctor and some man with a pistol. Dully, he noted the alluring appearance of said man with pistol and in a smooth move pushed it aside. First things first. “Ah, Loki, I understand you have unfailingly proved yourself useful by locating the doctor. Might I inquire,” Leif bowed politely – hereallywantedHISFREAKINHAT! “The names of these two gentlemen?” Ellsworth barely spared a glance at the duo. “Don’t know, Captain.” He shrugged, not particularly caring. His job was done. He got the doctor. So why wasn’t he dismissed? Ellsworth remained, sword ready to attack at any subtle shift in the demeanor of either men, slightly peeved that Leif had decided to annoy him by keeping him in place. Stupid Captain knew he hated the sight of blood and wanted to get back to their own ship. So why keep him here?

Cenhelm bared his teeth again. "Cenhelm Dagur," he snapped. "My companion is Frey Matthews--the doctor you requested. I assure you he will not be going anywhere without me." Matthews sent Cenhelm a grateful look, eyes still sweeping the expanse of the ship. They were standing dangerously close to the rail, and he could see the ocean as it lapped the hull of the ship. Reacting to unconscious fear as his pupils dilated slightly--whyohwhyhadhechosentobecomeasailorofsortsohGod--he grabbed the closest thing: Ellsworth's wrist. Cenhelm glared at the Captain, eyebrow raised as his friend's discomfort went unnoticed.

Ellsworth did not miss the sudden shift in emotion. He could recognized an irrational fear a mile away – he had his own – but still remained unprepared at being grabbed. He practically jumped to the sky. Closing his eyes, Ellsworth mentally counted back from ten, using Leif’s likely well hidden amusement to fuel the mental distraction. Stubbornly, he ignored the Doctor—Matthews, was it?—hold on his wrist. “It’s not like the water will jump up and bite. It’s not a piranha.” Ellsworth muttered lowly, just audible enough to the doctor. “It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, young Dagur,” Leif intoned bowing slightly. Ellsworth mentally noted the slight stiffening in his stance. Otherwise, Leif remained unchanged. Mentally cursing the idiocy of a nobleman being aboard a ship, Leif simply hoped to the seven seas and above that this Dagur had never previously met any Ó Nualláin. He would rather not the family name go to ruins because of a simple miscalculation. Leif turned to address the doctor, “The ex-Queen Mary crew awaits your attention and,” Leif turned back to Cenhelm, “As you so blatantly mentioned that you refuse to leave your lover’s side, they await your wonderful care too.” A light grin dusting his aristocratic features, Leif wheeled on the unhappy and uncomfortable Ellsworth. “I have wonderful news for you, my very useful and dear Loki,” Leif swept his arms at the ship, “This is now yours. You have your ship.” An idea dawned on Leif. He might be able to keep this Dagur away after all by leaving him on the ex-Queen Mary. Then again, it would be hazardous leaving Ellsworth on a ship with two unknown, untrustworthy, men and in the same move he would be losing a very valuable doctor. But what if Ellsworth got injured? The adorable idiot didn’t know how to ask for help, he would likely die! Hm. Leif thought the idea over a moment more. Ellsworth spent the time reeling in shock. He… had… a… ship? A… ship? A ship belonged to… him? The idea eventually sunk in and if it had not been for the stupid grip on his wrist, Ellsworth would’ve jumped for joy.

Matthews stifled the small whimpering sound, but his fear turned to anger as he heard Leif's accusation. However, Cenhelm beat him to it, and his reaction was exactly what anyone would have expected. "He is not my lover, Captain. You that desperate for a lay?" Cenhelm fumed, his shoulders hunching and eyes flashing. "Pirañas live in water," Matthews replied flatly. "Et les gens... périt dans ses profondeurs. L'océan. Un tombeau." The last part was in a softer tone, though the hardness hadn't left the doctor's eyes. However, he did let go of the other's wrist with a sudden start, looking faintly green by this point. He bit his lip, though, pushing against dark thoughts and dark moods as he opted to move past Ellsworth and make his way towards the subdued crew of the former Queen Mary.

OOC: Superlongassposttime! XD
Leif crinkled his nose elegantly, pointing the violin bow he still held at Matthews and delicately keeping the plague ridden back. “As much as I am certain you would wish such a thing, no. I am sorry to disappoint you, but your accusations fall short.” In his response, he missed the French Matthews spoke. Ellsworth did not, however, and fumed silently at not understanding anything but that the ocean was a tomb. What the hell was that supposed to mean? Of course he knew Piranhas lived in water – just not the ocean! Arghh… Ellsworth felt like screaming. Stupid French. Unknowingly, he had muttered those two words aloud. “Captain,” Ellsworth decidedly distracted himself with talking to the Captain, “I don’t believe the doctor will make it across the plank.” He motioned said ten foot plank. Leif glanced at it, glanced at Ellsworth, at Matthews, and then furiously little Dagur. Gleefully, he clapped. “Perfect! We need not keep the hydrophobic nor the blindingly idiotic.” Leif turned to face his crew, sauntering across the deck and waving his bow elegantly. He liked to move a lot. “Crew! Grab all valuables and medical goods!” He turned to point back at the ship, where Chloelia could be seen attempting to scale the mast. “My darling little illusionist, bring forth Loki’s hidden treasure and surrender it to the gallant little trickster. We shall rid ourselves of a horrible nuisance tonight!” Ellsworth groaned mentally. How could anyone understand what the stupid Captain said? Belatedly, he realized something. Wait… He had to keep the stupid doctor and Dagur?!? Noooo! That’s not what he meant! “Captain!” Ellsworth panicked, racing after the far too cheerful aristocrat, “Captain! Captain!” “I do believe, Loki,” Leif said, pausing abruptly and nearly causing Ellsworth to smash into him, “You are supposed to save such loving summons for your actual lover and—” “No!” Ellsworth hissed through his teeth, just barely keeping from screaming. “I don’t want them! Keep the doctor, keep the Dagur! Just knock the doctor out and drag him across the board!” “Loki,” Leif gently rested a hand on his shoulder, “As much as it would please you to partake in masochistic endeavors, I will not aid ye.” He started walking off, ordering random crewmen here and there, “Besides, I will not be blamed for your lack of education in the art of healing. We have already acquired two doctors. You need one more than me.” “I’ll trade you!” Ellsworth snapped. “Doctors are customarily worth two doctors in a trade.” “Excellent, I get two for the price of one.” “No. My two remain safely in my possession and you find another one to exchange for one of mine.” “How does that work? That doesn’t work! Your math is illogic—” “I notice the ‘Captain’ has suddenly disappeared. Are you attempting to propose to me, dear Loki?” “No! Get your head out of the gutter!” Ellsworth snapped, belatedly adding, “Captain.”
