Daemon pulled away then. "This is your release." And with that, he started off again, not completely sure where his heart lay at that moment.

"Release?" Rosie whispered, as she followed him. "What release?"

"I will no longer pursue you, and you are free to forget me," Daemon replied smoothly, though he felt an unpleasant pain in his chest at his words.

Daemon paused, but didn't look at her. "Are you just going to say that now and throw me away later? Because apparently I'm disposable."

Daemon sighed, and kept walking. He was broken and lifeless, hence the reason he only found joy in killing these days. So, he just proceeded back to the camp. He didn't know what else to do. He had tried being there for her, but she had turned him away.

Rosie wandered around the forest for many hours until she came to a complete stop. Daemons favorite place to think. Rosie automatically sat by his favorite spot, resisting the urge to leave.

Daemon arrived to his place of contemplation after a little while, setting his blade against a tree trunk and running both hands through his hair. He looked at war with himself as he lashed out against the nearest tree. Raw, demon energy flowed from his fingertips as it assaulted the foliage before him.

He didn't know that she was there, but what Daemon said next, almost seemed like he had read her thoughts. "CAN'T YOU SEE THAT IT'S NOT YOUR FUCKING FAULT?!" Another blast of energy singed at tree, followed by a roar of aggravation and pain.

Rosie ignored him. IT WAS HER FAULT. She quickly stood and left, not wanting to be in another fight.

Daemon collapsed shortly thereafter, exhausted from the energy exertion. He didn't understand the purpose for still being there.

Rosie was upset, turmoiled, and hurt. He didn't understand. She was the reason he was going through this pain.

bic: "Sir...?" Daemon opened his once closed eyes, the orbs glazed over with maroon exhaustion as his subordinate looked him over. "Are you alright?" Daemon shook his head. "No. I'm not." "Well, things are getting ugly at the camp. I can't contain it any longer. We need you back." Daemon stood swiftly, brushing himself off as he regained his composure. "Alright, let's go." The two men headed back without delay.
