Antonio nodded. "That's likely where Arthur is leading us, then."

ooc: To when they arrive? Okay.
bic: "Well...this isn't how I remember it...." Merrina put her hands on her hips, tipping her head to one side as she peered around the city. "What do you think, Ko?" Konar looked up from his monkey, shrugging a little. "It's different I suppose." And it was. The last time they had seen it, there was at least some order about the place. Now, it was like a tsunami washed through the place. Debris lay everywhere, and it appeared to be a rather unkempt place. Merrina shook her head. "Not safe for non-pirate women...or those with young children. I'd advise Alondra and Blake stay behind." "Oh do you now," Charlie inquired as he came to stand beside her. Merrina smirked. "Don't you think?" Charlie shrugged. "Whatever."

"They are staying behind," Arthur said as he walked down the gangplank, his steps sharp and precise. "Ashley is as well. I've left Jean, Mathieu, Yao and Sebastian behind, as well as a bunch of my other crew members - Alerick has gone on ahead with Mina, and Antonio and Christian will be joining us momentarily."

Merrina felt a twinge of pain in her chest at the mention of Alerick and Mina having gone on ahead...together...alone...but tried not to show it. "You alright?" Konar asked quietly. "Fine," replied the brunette, who started into the town. After all, she'd been there enough times to know her way around. Konar watched her for a few moments before following quietly, his monkey - still unnamed - chirped excitedly on his shoulder. Charlie shook his head, glancing over at the others. "And what of Elizabeth?"

Arthur turned to him. "She's here, also - she left shortly after Mina and Alerick. I sent her after them with specific instructions. The other pirate lords wouldn't be happy with me for bringing so much 'backup'. I can easily say that some of you are with Antonio, but Mina, Elizabeth and Alerick were three too many - though I cannot leave them behind. So we're playing our cards, and seeing what happens. After all, whores don't generally pose a threat."

"Or drunken pirates," Charlie muttered, adjusting his collar before proceeding further into town. He and the others of Foriden's crew were known well around here; it was the man's favourite stop.

Arthur smiled, but it was anything but reassuring. "Precisely." "We ready?" Antonio asked, joining them.

"So different from when we were last here, eh Ko?" Konar glanced at his brown-haired companion, nodding. "Indeed." Merrina hardly acknowledged the response. She was too busy looking around at the various shops and other establishments. "Want to grab a quick drink before we have to do anything of interest?" While Konar remained indecisive, his monkey hopped up and down on his shoulder, quickly scooting to Merrina's while pointing in the direction of the nearest tavern. Merrina laughed. "I'll take that as a maybe. Alright; I'll just take Perin over without you. Savvy?" Konar tilted his head. "...Perin?" "Yes. That's what I call him. He seems to like it." Merrina scratched the primate's head momentarily before breaking off from her red-headed companion's pace. "Come join us when you feel the need, though I assure you we won't be long." Konar watched as the curvaceous brunette entered the nearest tavern with a light sway in her step, and he narrowed his eyes briefly. They were friends, comrades, even considered as close as siblings at times, and so naturally when he saw her form trailed by four drunken men, he wanted to follow her to make sure she'd be alright. But he stopped himself; she was Merrina. Of course she'd be alright.

"So, boys, up for some entertainment today?" a smirk voice said, and Arthur languidly turned his head, a smirk working its way across his face as he saw Mina. The girl looked utterly... un-Mina-like. For one, her long blonde hair, usually held up in a ponytail, hung loose around her shoulders and down her back - beside her, Elizabeth's light brown hair did the same, curled in some areas and just plain wavy in others. Both of them wore low cut red-and-white dresses and held beer mugs in their hands, and Mina had adopted a simpering expression, though her eyes were still harsh and calculating. Standing behind them, swaying slightly, was Alerick, his attire consisting of a pair of brown suspenders and a loose white shirt. His breath smelled of beer, but Arthur knew the man had probably only consumed enough to give off the smell - the pirates wouldn't believe it otherwise. "Right on time."

Charlie surveyed the empty alleyway he had wandered down, his guarded gaze scanning the dilapidated buildings on either side. The stone was dark and moss-covered, and gave off the true downfall of this once thriving place. But, he had no time to observe scenery, and so he kept walking. He entered the tavern, not even giving another a second glance as he made his way to the barkeep, ordering an ale for himself before he carried on with his explorations. A flash of frothing alcohol was set before him, and he took it with a light grip, sipping at the contents. His eyes glazed ever so slightly as the substance settled in his system, and for the first time in a few weeks, he felt calm...er.

"You all look lovely," Antonio smirked with a grin, watching as Mina looked torn between batting her eyelashes mockingly and ripping his throat out. Elizabeth just lowered her lashes, nodding her head once. Alerock chuckled, his eyes clear and free from the effects of the alcohol, but that would change once they encountered the other pirate lords.

Merrina watched from a table in the corner, sighing as she lowered her gaze to the wood. She felt lost and torn about what she was supposed to feel...think...understand. Perin lolled on her shoulder, already feeling effects of the alcohol he was privy to drink. Charlie, meanwhile, occupied the place at the bar, though after observing the tavern once, his eyes had fallen on Elizabeth, and a pang of something indescribable resonated in his body, which caused him to turn and just sip once more at his beverage.
Konar approached the group with a tilted head at the women's attire before shifting his attention to the captains. "The first of our search will be here soon. You'll recognize whom the pirate lord is when...they arrive." He then took a chair elsewhere, finding himself slightly lacking without his monkey with him.
The doors opened once more, and a woman wearing tall red boots that extended to her thighs, a corset with a lengthy captains jacket around her person of navy blue and gold, short shorts that could honestly be considered whore-attire, and a large red hat with impressive plumage extending from the side and out the back, entered the establishment. She was skinny, despite the ample bosom she seemed to flaunt for all to see. Long reddish brown curls seemed to hover over her person, and her deep opal eyes were calculating and sharp. Her skin was flawless. At her side walked two of the burlier men one would have seen in their pirate careers. All muscle and no brain, however, as they simply followed the woman like dogs. They must've been just for show. She approached the bar, taking a quick look around, before smirking lightly. "Ah, Charlie Ashvale. Thought I'd never again see the likes of you here." Charlie lifted his attention to the woman, smirking. "Scarlett Rougelain (can't remember how I spelt it D:). You're a sight for sore eyes." "As are you. It's been years since I've last seen that mop of blonde." He simply shrugged. "With good reason." Scarlett laughed, her voice ringing like bells around the room. Most conversation simply hushed, while others turned and quieted altogether. "Oh, you old bilge rat! I expected more from you." "And I, you," Charlie responded. Scarlett took a seat next to him, ordering her own bottle of rum swiftly. "How's the sister?" "Fine. She's just recently given birth to a baby girl." Scarlett stared with wide eyes. "No shit? I never expected Jack to give her a child." "Ah...that's the complications. Jack died...or didn't you hear? No, the child is the result of a disgusting man taking advantage of a grieving woman. She's engaged now, as well, though to someone else." The woman captain laughed. "I never thought she'd be one of risqué types." "She's not." "Right. So she's not here then? Shame. I would've liked to have a word with her. She was somewhat entertaining last time." Scarlett took a swig of her rum as soon as it arrived.

ooc;; Well, I figured she was a PL ^^
bic;; "Scarlett," Arthur acknowledged lightly, his eyes trailing to the other woman. "It's been so long." His tone was curt and sharp, almost cynical in its nature. But that was just Arthur. He was always prickly about everything.
